Activities

Prairie View provides many activities for students and families. These are voluntary opportunities and provide activities that will enhance the students’ learning and create an environment that develops them into highly successful citizens.

We are completing a Christmas Food Drive from December 5-14.  Each day we will be concentrating on a specific type of food.

You DO NOT need to send in items every day unless you would like to do so.

If you miss a requested day, please send your items in on another day!

Your child’s class will count the items donated. At the end of the day the class that brings the most items will be recognized for the entire school to hear and win the Can Man poster to put outside their classroom door.

Money will also be collected to purchase extra items for the food baskets.  If you would like to donate money for these items, please either send cash or a check made payable to Prairie View Elementary.

When students bring in any food item and/or money they should first take the items to their classroom where they will be counted. We ask that you bring items that you yourself would be happy to receive.    Please, no dented, opened, old or out of date items. Please also send regular or family size items rather than individual size containers.

This food drive is to help Prairie View families!! We hope it will be a success.  Please call the school if you have any questions about the food drive. (534-4710)

(Please consider mac/cheese, spaghetti and sauce, noodles, rice, boxed meals such as hamburger or tuna helper)
